I've never really been that much of a fan of the BCC. Not in the sense that I think they're wack but because I haven't been checking the music out to create an opinion. This was true with the exception of that group they call Heltah Skeltah. A dope duo who dropped 'Noturnal' on our asses back in '96. These two men have a brilliant presence upon the mic.
The CD is filled with guests and some dope selections of beats. The reason that they entitled this CD 'Magnum Force' was because it is meant to hit you with the equivalent force that a magnum gun would deliver. Another reason is because they have just created a new crew, MFC, the Magnum Force Crew, you can check them and the BCC on the long posse cut 'Gangs All Here.'
The CD is one of those which is littered with dope cuts but in between each dope cut you find a, to put it nicely, less dope cut. I really felt the majority of tracks on the CD, although the posse cut I mentioned above I wasn't really feeling. The track is over nine minutes long and features tons of guests, sometimes that works but the beats weren't the type to keep me listening for that duration of time.
Some interesting guests on the CD include Method Man, The Outlawz and Tha Doggpound. If you want to check the track with Tha Doggpound then click on 'Brownsville II Longbeach' on the left of the screen.
On the whole. The CD is above average.
