Forgive me because I've missed the previous volumes in this 'elite' series but if their anything like this one I haven't missed much. This 5 track collection has no real connection or exclusives lined up for you to want to buy this. The Jane Blaze track, 'Slow Down' has already started circulating and we brought it to you a coupla weeks ago on this very site. Needless to say I thought the track was shit then and I still do. Mr Murray comes through with a radio edit of one of the most commercial tracks off his latest album 'life on the streets', now a remix would have been better but nope this is a let down as we've heard it before. What really drew me to this EP was 'Temple tactics' by the mighty KRS, a new track that would have been on 'Maximum strength'?, well maybe but again I'd heard this about 18 months ago and it don't sound any better today, disappointment number 3. Finally we're treated to the LP version of 'Pad and pen' by A tribe called Quest, but if like me you copped the album last summer this track is old news, and the inclusion of the instrumental does little to enhance the worthiness of this package. On the other hand if you don't own any of these tracks then this is the compilation for you, but where the fuck have you been?
