The Juno’s arrival transformed the city into a perfect representation of Canadian music, artistry and celebration. One of the biggest stars to come to town is the undeniably funny comic superstar Russell Peters, who joked with reporters earlier in the week that it was great to be back in Canada since his move over to the U.S. “Wanna know the best thing about being back? Canadian Chips Ahoy cookies! The Chips Ahoy’s in the U.S. suck!,”
Joked Peters.

The weekend proved entertaining for all. Some of the events that were going on during the weekend included the Juno Cup at UBC’S Thunderbird winter sports arena, Juno Fest, which had over 100 bands perform at 19 Venues, the various Juno parties, the outdoor street festival on Granville street, the Songwriters’ Circle concert, and of course the Gala dinner and broadcast day event, which was viewed by millions across the country.
